How long does it take to get refund after identity verification?

I have been reading this post and it makes me feel good to know I am not the only one in this madness.  I filed 2/17/19 and Got approved the same day my money was supposed to hit by 3/11/19 and I got my 5071c  2 days before the original deposit date.  This year seems like IRS having a bunch of issues with everything. 

I learned this year that you can still file and go to wmr and still see the "still processing" message then the money will show up without the DDD and the bars. I find it odd. 

ANYWHO

I been waiting for my taxes since the day I first filed when I did get my 5071C I verified on May 7 because I moved from different states. I was told that it will be 9 weeks until I can get my money which set me on July 9th. WELL, I called on July 3rd and was told I will still get it on the 9th of July no letters nothing was sent. I said Ok. I called today July 8th and I was told that yeah it's going to show " still being processed" but NO ACTION was taken and got transferred to another department to fix this issue.

Upon being transferred. I was told by a really cool nice guy that the reason why it's in processing but no action being taken on my refund is that my account with IRS is NOT ESTABLISHED which why its a** wait. 

The man placed me on hold and he ended up completing my account. He said when I went in on May 7 to verify in person the woman did not complete my account all she did was just verify as step 1 and not did the step 2 on setting and completing my account.  Today he completed it then he said I should check on Friday July 12 because when I did my taxes I chose " PAY WITH MY REFUND" to TurboTax and he said they will send it to TurboTax and have them take out what I owe and check my bank account this Friday.

He also mentions if not Friday I don't receive it because my 9 weeks is up tomorrow on the 9th of July then to check up until August 12th no later than the 19th of August because my weeks will restart again which is BS. He said I may have LUCKED IN and hoped that its there on Friday since my account is now established and completed. All of this is because I am a first-time filer and I find this a pain in the a**.  IF you are unsure call the irs at one eight hundred - eight two nine - ten fifty and they will let you know whats going on if you filed 6 months ago and got nothing its probably the fact that no one has taken action yet and thye can help out with that.

I filed in late Feb, maybe early march and received a message stating i was approved. Fast forward May 10, I received a 5071C letter stating I had to verify my identity. Need I remind you, this exact same thing had happened to my mother weeks before. I was finally able to verify May 23, 2019 because i had to purchase my previous tax returns from turbo enable to verify. After confirming, they told me on the phone the WMR website should update with a DDD within 9 weeks. my 7th week will be in 2 days, on July 11. I'm kind of upset reading that someone above confirmed almost two weeks after me and didnt even take 2 weeks before getting a DDD. Also, I vented on my social media a few weeks ago and more than half of my friends stated they had to verify their identity also. But I never checked back in with any of them to see if they'd received them yet because i don't like people knowing about my money issues. Only reason i'm putting it on here is because 9/10 no one one here knows me lol.

@Sheldon918  give them all call you might be in the same situation as me. When I called today again I was told that my verification is fully completed after talking to someone else who establish my account yesterday.  It may be that your verification isn't completed fully. When I go to WMR I now get this message "We're sorry but you have exceeded the number of daily attempts allowed.

Information is updated every 24 hours, usually overnight, so you only need to check once a day. Please try again tomorrow." 

I know when I was awaiting my first 9 weeks from May 7 every day I checked on WMR and it was the same message until my account got to establish and gave me i checked too much message lol. when I checked twice today. Just call them hun.

i'll give that a try later today. Last time i called was about 3 weeks ago and they said they had all the info i needed and to continue waiting. i need to change my way of direct deposit anyways so fingers crossed lol.

I filed on the 5th of June recieved a letter a month later and verified my identity yesterday July 9th . The lady told me it should take up to 9 weeks but would anyone know if it could be less if its not tax season???? I need answers.

@Antlobo247 Its possible you can get yours early as well. It all depends on them. I suggest you call them and double check if your verification is fully completed. Because when I went in person on May 7 to verify my identity I thought it was done and waited 9 weeks for no refund until I called the day before and was informed my verification was not completed fully. The rep had fully completed my file and resubmitted now I'm redoing all 9 weeks until I found out I am in "luck" that I may get it this Friday or no later than September 9th.  If it been completed fully then hopefully soon instead of the full 9 weeks but it's up to them love.

I’ve been waiting since 2/6 I verified 3/6 I received multiple letters saying they need more time at this point I don’t care . When it Comes it comes

@makalah46  I fond out they been behind on people taxes. I just checked  wmr and got "We have received your tax return and it is being processed." I'm praying we all get it because it's just absurd about all of this. People got bills to pay and mouths to feed and so on.  I understand all the frustration.

Same here I checked this morning and it said it was recieved and being processed and I verified my identity three days ago.

I called one day and they say that they don’t have my second w2 and that they only have one and in reality it’s supposed to be 2

@Antlobo247  basically means we approved just we now waiting for our DDD.

@makalah46  yeah that's a problem right there.  Hopefully, you still get your refund because that's BS. I don't know what steps you've taken but I have read that you can contact your employer and see if they can resend it and see if it helps them because the IRS  is just behind with things and its annoying on how its affecting people daily life.

I’m curious to know did you all get yours because I still have not received mines or received an update 😢😢
