To access your current or prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)
If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
For a fee of $50 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf
Hello i need a copy of my 2018 return for a house

Was it prepared online? If your 2018 returns were prepared in Online TurboTax, log into your account and at the Tax Home scroll down and expand the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents". Choose tax year 2018, and then click "Download/print the PDF". If you can't find your 2018 return there, then you likely have multiple accounts and signed into the wrong one. NOTE: If the 2018 return was prepared in desktop software (CD/download), it will not be in an online account.
Many people end up with multiple accounts without realizing it. Here's how to troubleshoot for multiple accounts (User IDs).
You can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes. A User ID may be an email address, but it doesn't have to be. It might be only part of an email address, or it can be anything at all.
To get a list of your User IDs and recover account access, you can use the tool at the link below. When using the Account Recovery tool, try using your phone number first. After that, if necessary, then run the tool on your email address(es) you can access.
NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop. Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below. You may wish to copy this link so you can paste it into the new browser session.

If still no luck after running that on your phone number and email address(es) that you can access, here's another method:
Go back to the tool again, but this time leave the data field blank, and choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by SSN and other parameters.

Either you entered the wrong amount of Social Security (SSA-1099Box 5) or the IRS changed the taxable amount of some other income like the 1099R. And by increasing your taxable income made more of their Social Security taxable.
The letter should say what they changed. A common thing is they increased the income for 1099R income. Either you missed entering one or you reported the wrong taxable amount on line 4b or 4d. Or it showed up on the wrong line 4b or 4d so the IRS missed it.
Up to 85% of Social Security becomes taxable when all your other income plus 1/2 your social security, reaches:
Married Filing Jointly: $32,000
Single or head of household: $25,000
Married Filing Separately: 0
CAN I GET A COPY OF MY 2018 TAX RETURN THAT I FILED IN 2019 IN JAN OF 2019

If you used Online TurboTax, when you log in to your account and get to the Tax Home there "should" be a Documents tab in the left menu column. (see image #1 below). If the Documents tab and Tax Home tab are not present in the left menu column, see the explanation and images below:
NOTE: However, if you're returning to TurboTax for the first time this tax season, the tabs for Tax Home and Documents may not appear at first. It may first ask you some questions on preliminary screens, and you may have to choose a 2020 product (you are not obligated to use it) before you can get to your Tax Home page that also has the Documents tab. If so, follow those introductory screens until you get to the Tax Home where you can access your prior-year returns. Then once you are past those intro screens and at the Tax Home, see if you have "Documents" tab in the left menu column.
Here's another method that doesn't use the Documents tab:
Log in and once you are at the Tax Home scroll down to the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents." Expand that section and choose the year you want, then choose "Download/print the PDF." (see image #2)
Again, if returning to TurboTax for the first time this year, you may have to answer some preliminary screens in order to get to the Tax Home page.

How do I get a copy of my 2018 tax return
Log in and once you are at the Tax Home scroll down to the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents." Expand that section and choose the year you want, then choose "Download/print the PDF."
That first option under DOCUMENTS doesn't work for a prior year copy UNLESS the user actually uploaded the return themselves into the system ... the only thing you can do there is upload forms you want to store.
