I need  to change my 2018, direct  deposit  info so I can get my  stimulus  money.   I haven't  filed for 2019

How do I get my stimulus check? Will it be mailed or direct deposited?

At this time we have not been provided with information on making changes to Direct Deposit information

As of today, the coronavirus stimulus package, or CARES act, has not been passed.

If you haven't e-filed or mailed your tax return yet you can still change the method by which you receive your REFUND follow the instructions in the FAQ below:

I want the IRS to have my direct deposit information, so corona stimulus money can be directly deposited into my account. I am not getting a tax refund so it won't allow me to enter the direct deposit information. Is there a work around for this????? Thanks for any help.....

@edszzz If you filed your return for 2018, the direct deposit information entered then will be what is used for your stimulus relief. Otherwise, you will receive a check in the mail.

If you have already filed your return, you cannot update your account information. If your account is closed or you put the incorrect account number, the IRS will issue you a check in the mail.

Unfortunately, if you have already filed your return, you cannot add direct deposit.  The IRS will mail you a refund check.
