How do I contact TurboTax?

TurboTax had a processing error which caused my return to get rejected. Now it has been pending for days, and they are obviously not sending it. How can I cancel and request a refund, as they are not doing what they agreed to?

How do I contact TurboTax?

Before you call customer service, check the status of your return.  If you used TurboTax Online, you can see the status of your return on  the Tax Home screen of your account.  You should have also received emails updating you on your return status.  

 

If you used TurboTax Desktop:

Select File.

Select Check E-file status.

 

Once your return is accepted, you can visit the IRS Where's My Refund? to check the status of your refund.  Most efiled returns take 21 days to process.  If your refund includes Earned Income Tax Credit and the Additional Child Tax Credit, the IRS will start making those refunds available by March 2, 2026.

The AI Chat is unsuccessful in connecting a call and the automated phone system will not recognize my email. Is there another way to contact TurboTax before April 15th?

I appreciate the reply.

 

From what I am understanding then, they do not have any public facing access to their staff unless you pay for it.

That does not seem correct to me.

What am I missing?

How do I contact TurboTax?

@MarilynG1 if you read previous postings you will see that was problematic as well.

 

I am using their basic service and have for decades. This is the first year with any issues. 
I cannot see, and it is not telling, if TT electronically filed my State taxes already. That is my sole question and why I was trying to contact them.

In the community we do not have access to information about your returns. 

 

If you want specific information you will have to call TurboTax Customer service.  Here is a link:  Turbo Tax Customer Service 

 

There is an article below on tracking your state return.

 

Where's my Refund is the most accurate information as it is directly from the IRS. Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing of your return or the release of your refund. The TurboTax site can only update if the information is provided for the software to update. This doesn't always happen so the information shown on TurboTax could be behind.

 

The IRS is who is issuing your refund, not TurboTax, so the IRS has the most up to date information.
