The IRS will begin accepting returns on January 27. TurboTax is "accepting" them and storing them until the IRS starts accepting them.
I have not received mine yet. I filed on the 14th and was accepted by the IRS on 01/17. Last year, the IRS accepted my taxes on the 01/19 and the Refund Advance was deposited into my Credit Spend account within 60 seconds of being accepted as they stated. The past 2 years of filing has been pretty quick once they accept. This year I am not sure what's going on. TT tax tells me I filed for a paper check, which is not the case that's only for my State. I told them I selected the option to choose same method as last year for my refund which was the refund advance. When I asked them where I could find the paperwork that I had to E-sign and agree to so I could verify the method I chose they didn't provide me an answer and then proceeded to tell me (after telling me I chose the standard method (paper check) that I was denied the refund advance. Which I got them just fine the past 2 years and nothing has changed. So, I don't know what's going on, but I feel better knowing others are having this issue as well and it's not just me. Just hope its sooner rather than later otherwise I would have selected the standard direct deposit.
This is very misleading, I filed and accepted the 21st and no advance. Prior years it came on time. Now I called 1st Century Bank and they told me what I was approved for but still no advance payment. I called Turbo Tax who confirmed that everything looks good on their end. So it makes me think, isn’t Turbo Tax who notifies the 3rd parties of my IRS acceptance. I called Turbo Tax back and now it’s wait up to 48 hours. That’s false advertising!! Now let’s see if I will have a deposit on Jan 23 2025 I shall see
no I Pray it comes on Monday the 27th. This is starting to be false advertising, never had this to happen in the past
