I entered  my direct deposit info on April 16th and still getting this message. I did taxes before they move the dead line and we owed, the IRS made sure they took there money.

The IRS computer system already had a processing to generate direct deposit transactions to bank accounts of taxpayers with refund, so their software engineers could make a quick modification to generate direct deposit transactions of stimulus payment to these taxpayers within the refund process. Then they need to make more changes to their system to pickup those taxpayers without a refund, generate direct deposit transactions if they have account numbers available, system modifications take time and need to be tested to make sure these new functions process correctly, so they could not give a date of payment until they have system modified and tested.

I tee s REAL easy to send DD.  a blind drunk monkey can do it in about 3 minutes.  The fustercluck we are experiencing is because we are dealing with a massive hairball bureaucracy so anything the software engineers are tasked with is prefixed with 1million miles of red tape.   Imo they are working miracles by getting these out as quickly as they have but agreed that the maintenance this weekend will no doubt fix a lot of issues that we all are experiencing

Its been past 8 days its been like 2 weeks and still it says once payment date is updated we will deposit your money....nothing,nothing,we are running out of money and rents due soon.......so saying that 8 days or next friday is bunch of bull#$-÷

@dfg5133- are you a moderator or just a wannabe ?  Just because someones post doesnt solve your problem you are going to start bossing people around and telling them what they can and cannot do?  Who put you in charge of deeming whats helpful anyway?  It is ABSOLUTELY helpful when people confirm they are having similar issues.  It lets people know they are not an isolated case and that is reassuring.   Im sure you are sweating and scratching and jumping every time ur phone chimes but ur crack dealer will most likely still b there next week so chill out.  Last i checked no one died and made u shotcaller.  If any msgs are unhelpful its your message trying to censor the internet you cheeky bugger 🙂
