Has anybody else paid for their services turbotaxes had them not do anything for them because I applied in April 1st sent a letter on the 7th $242 for nothing

Oh I know it is for my daughter lost her job I am on disability at the car payment I have insurance I have a house payment I have so many payments and I did this so I can make sure that I did the taxes right they said they were right here I am I don't even know if I'm going to get my money and I have plans for it but you know what I'm never using them again never do not trust them

Paying your TurboTax fees did not file your tax return.  Did you go all the way through the FILE section to the big orange button that said "Transmit my returns now?"

When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted  or rejected your federal e-file.  If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities.  There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS. 

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing

And....you mention a "letter" but have provided no information about that letter or what the letter said.  TurboTax gets no information from the IRS after you file your tax return, so no one at TurboTax knows about a letter you received.  Provide some details--but please no personal information like SSN, etc.
