So the IRS Where's my Refund updated overnight, the status bars are all there and my refund has been approved with a refund date of 3/10 it says they made changes to my refund amount but didnt give me details, i can only assume the child tax credit. My refund increased by quite a lot. I never seen it increase before. I know the child tax credit is like 3k per child and i think that is the reason for the delay and increase in the refund amount. I just hope others get the same results. People who file with the child tax credit should get a pleasant surprise.

Whatever change you are seeing is not the result of a change in the child tax credit which is still being debated in the Senate and has not become a law.   Wait and see what changes the IRS made to your tax return--they should send you a letter of explanation.

Yes they did mention i will get a letter explaining the reason for the change, I thought the Child tax credit was official? could of sworn i read it was boosted to $3000, sorry if im incorrect
