This finally worked for me! Before I only deleted the 8915 form. I had to delete the 2 forms, and it removed the Covid code. Hoping it gets accepted this time.
I am having an issue filing. It has to do with from 8915-f. It keeps saying invalid entries. I have triple checked and all is correct. Is there a way around this or is this an issue with the TurboTax software.
There is a workaround concerning checking the box If this was a Coronavirus-related distribution reported in 2020, check here at the screen Did you take a 2020 Qualified Disaster Distribution?
Please see @DataB27's explanation here.
Please try these steps to fix the rejection issue:
Another option is to delete "Form 8915-F" and "Qualified 2020 Disaster Retirement Distr" and then go back to the retirement section and reenter the information:
I was able to do that for my federal return but my state tax is getting rejected still. Federal return was accepted. This is what TurboTax e-mailed me after my state return was rejected:
State Tax 8915F - We are working on a product update related to potential state tax impact of federal Form 8915-F. This update is scheduled to be available on March 17. On or after that date, review the return and re-transmit it.
Thank you for this information on State. I'll watch for the update.
The same here - can't delete this stubborn erroneous form 8915F !! Keep rejecting e-filing!
In my case I can't delete 8915F without FIRST deleting Qualified 2020 Distribution worksheet. Only after this step I was able to delete the 8915F form. And e-filled, finally!
Yes, only in this order it worked for me!
Hooray, I finally deleted the 8915F-S form (which was not even applicable in my case!), only after first deleting the 2020 Qualified Disaster Distribution form! E-filled federal & state successfully!
It worked. I had to logout and then sign back in. I was then able to delete both forms (8915-f and Qualified Disaster Distribution form). I reentered all the info and was able to e- file. Thank for the help @JamesG1
Still having the same issue
Is there a new release date, still not working?
Please see this discussion thread and the reply from Tax Expert, DanaB27 to fix Form 8915-F rejection code. If this doesn't work for you, please let us know so we can further assist you.
Who writes these condescending responses that say basically "try reading the instructions"? Not very customer service oriented.
Help! This 8915-F form is confusing me. I must need to change something on the form but I cannot figure out how to make changes The turbocheck said I needed to look at those forms. How can I get help with this? So frustrating....
