EITC for disabled child

I just filed as head of household and I have a disabled child who will be 18 next month and is in school, I did not get the EITC or state credit.  The system alerted me the child is over 18 and not eligable. I have already submitted e-file

EITC for disabled child

You misunderstood.  You lose the child tax credit in the year that your child turns 17.  If your  child is 18 you get a different credit for him and you can still get earned income credit for him too--assuming your income qualifies for EIC.
