Two of my 1099R's coincidentally have the identical amount of income to report. Efile IRS keeps rejecting them as duplicates, which they are not.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Increase the amount on one by $1, and decrease the amount on the other by $1.
Try this -
Subtract $0.01 cent from the first 1099-R and and add $0.01 cent to the second 1099-R. E-file the 2020 tax return again.
Increase the amount on one by $1, and decrease the amount on the other by $1.
@DoninGA I'm concerned that 1 cent may not help, since the program (and the IRS) rounds to the nearer dollar.
It is possible but other users have reported that adding and subtracting $0.01 cent works for e-filing the tax return.
This worked! Thanks.
WHAT do I DO to REFILE????
WHAT cause this REJECTION when I File???/
I filed the return and was rejected , this was done three times , and the reason was the 2019 AGI was being flagged as incorrect , which was not the case , how can this be corrected? And was my bank account charged three times ? Each time I had to resubmit after a new rejection ?
Try 0 for your AGI. No, you are only charged once.
