I think we should all file one, because this is just ridiculous. Doing a lil reading led me to see that , intuit/turbo tax and Credit Karma, have all been sued previously for false advertising and the lies they use. Then they settle out but still to stubborn, to admit wrong, or even change there practice's.
I actually called and spoke with someone today at credit Karma. I informed them that the irs has accepted and approved my refund and yet their site still says “submitted” as if I filed today. They kept telling me “we assure you that your money will be in your account once we receive it from IRS.” As I stated to them that’s not a good enough response and that it’s even more concerning since the site has not updated not once. I also asked them that since their site is still saying “submitted” is that going to delay my deposit because their site isn’t showing the accurate information. All they could tell me is that they assure me this and assure me that. I also asked about the 5 day advance pay. They claim that whenever IRS sends them the money is when they place it in the account. Even if they pay it out the same day that IRS says it should be there. Which is complete BS! That’s not 5 days in advance! I’m with the lawsuit.
did you ever receive your money from them because the same exact thing is happening to me right now. Literally word for word. They can't even explain why the account was closed. They said they don't have access and for me to keep waiting for a check in the mail.
The IRS sent my husband taxes. They was suppose to be deposited to Credit Karma card Feb 15th. Still no taxes and credit karma keep saying it's the IRS. No it's Credit Karma. If the IRS says they sent it, they did. Customer service is non existent. How can Credit Karma keep taking people money and nothing is done? Who else can we contact to get his refund?
Same thing going on with me I filed with them last year also did not get my funds early. The IRS transcript updated today said that my funds will be deposited on 22 February which is five days away. I called them to see why I don’t have my funds, they hung up on me saying that I have to wait for a email. I tried to talk to them through Credit Karma app and they’re going to tell me that they don’t find an account with my information on it and that they couldn’t help me. It’s crazy they are liars. I want to attorney do something about this false advertisement,
I already had a credit karma account ever since last year and I got the TurboTax advance both years

When you see an asterisk which is a star* or a tiny number ¹ that means there are details below that correspond with the asterisk symbol. When it says get your refund *up to* 5 days early ¹, you can look below and read "if u choose to pay filing fees or if you applied for an advance you do not qualify for early deposits. When they say you can have your money in as little as 15 minutes, they CLEARLY are referring to the advance on your refund IF you get approved. I filed my taxes, opted to try for the advance. I submitted it. I instantly got a notification that 2,000$ was available in my account. They even send an electronic credit card to use while you wait. I used this to order groceries on Walmart. Com... If your bank isn't compatible to link via plaid to your credit karma, they have another instant transfer option where you send it to literally any debit card. And it charges a tiny percentage to do that. Literally pocket change. I'm sorry but every year I see the same complaint about the advance and the 5 day early refund being a lie or false advertising when the issue isn't with them at all. Reading is fundamental. I would never file taxes with a new company having my money sent into a new bank with this new company and not read all the fine print!? How can people just not see this information?!
I filled my taxes out on February 23rd and I was signed up to get it 5 days early and now here is a month I was just wondering why I had to pay to get it 5 days early and I haven't gotten my return yet
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
To track your state refund:
If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing
