@NCperson But the problem lies int hat fact that no one actually knows if the TT card is ACTUALLY issued through SBTPG. The only card they speak about is a Walmart one. I have yet to see a document that states they are processed THROUGH SBTPG. That's why this is all still up in the air
@mrkprrt23 - where do you see it is only for the walmart card? I do not see that??????
please review this link - I see nothing that says 'Walmart'

(and this is the link I used for my FAQ in the prior post)
I’ve explained in long detail a few times about a green Dot and affiliates so I’ll just keep it brief. TT VISA cards with tax refund loaded have a Routing and account number that directly match the card. They can and will accept Direct Deposits and you will get your Cares act stimulus that way. I can not speak for Other carriers and sister companies who did things differently.
@NCperson what if they person doesn't have fee is their TT card issue through SBPTG?
That makes sense because my account and routing from 1040 match my turbo card. I have read comments from emerald card users who say their 1040 has the same routing # but diff account # or they don’t recognize either (if they used their own bank after paying the HR block fees)
Turbo Tax Intuit card is issued through Greendot read the back of your card
@SoSleepy30 - there seem to be a lot of permutations that TT has with a number of players. From reading all these post (and my background in Banking), I've landed on a point of view about how SBTPG fits in.
any other permutations, i really don't know, but I will state that those posting that didn't have their fees subtracted from their refunds are more likely to be direct deposit - the cards appear to be issued by Greendot and the IRS dropped the refunds directly into those accounts - no need to stop at SBTPG for the fee subtraction,
Just to add a little more substance to the matter.
In 2018 a Stimulus was paid out and those who paid a fee from H&R Block or any other service did not get a Direct Deposit but rather a check.. “if your rebate required a payment to a preparer or e-file company like turbo tax, then the money deposited into your bank account came from the financial institution, not the I.R.S.”
Those of us who did not pay a fee and simply used Turbo Tax free used Green Dot Turbo Tax VISA and it’s not related to Santa Barbra tax group. You will get a deposit on your TT visa but only if you did not have any 3rd party involved for fees such as Santa Barbra etc. This was only a few years back and these same questions were asked then.
So everyone who paid fees with taxes is in the same boat then?
You are quite confused. The greendot card can be reloaded and even used for direct deposit of your paycheck. This is not a visa gift card or whatnot, but a debit card issued through a bank.
Sorry guys, that was in 2008 not 2018!
Im hearing the same applies though. The IRS can always decide to try things diff but if you paid a fee then it seems you are in the same boat as the people in 2008
@Kimmediato22 - your 2008 experience is consistent with what I think is going to occur after reading about 100 posts today from a variety of community members.
I myself used the Turbo Tax free Edition and I have the TT Visa card and I was told by three different agents from last week up to two days ago that it would be loaded on that card.
That is the card they SBTPG specifically uses, which from what I've been reading is the card that they are talking about when they say a card issued through SBTPG
