I gave my W2s to a new tax preparer and instead of him putting that in the system he put me down for self employment- without my permission by the way. Now my return is under review- should I amend it with my correct information?

You need to wait for the IRS send you a letter concerning the tax return that was filed. Then you can take action based on the IRS instructions in the letter.
I received the 446c letter already
The IRS Letter 4464C it should give you instructions on how to proceed. Since the income was entered incorrectly you should amend the tax return that was filed.
As indicated by DoninGA if you know your return is not correct then you should amend it immediately. This letter, 4464-C, is about verifying your income and income tax withholding. For more information, use this link from the IRS that addresses this letter specifically.
You will be able to access and file an amended return now (Form 1040-X).
Be sure to read all the instructions carefully, before you begin, so that TurboTax knows the original numbers and the changed numbers for your amendment.
