Im sorry I dont want to get anyone in trouble just confused. Called Turbotax to ask if I should amend my return since im on 120 day hold and have received no notice of any kind from IRS despite visiting them in person 2tines.
Im facing eviction but do not qualify for tax advocate as they do not assist with “my type of hold”- whatever that is.
Turbotax agent told me that their system shows a code showing an offset and a direct deposit amount of $0.00 taking my entire refund. no info on who i could owe.
Treasury bureau automated number says no offset linked to my ssn.
An additional call to irs agent says a hold code was placed on my account the day before showing a deduction but no amount next to it, nobinfo on who i could owe.
Called IRS again same day to see if different answer. Agent says it is odd I have not received notice of any kind and she will put in note to expedite my return as she does not see that I owe money.
I dont want to get the Turbotax worker in trouble, im just confused and stressed as im a single mom with special needs kids facing eviction. Anything helps. Last code on IRS account transcript is 768- since February. never received 810 or 971. WMR delayed beyond normal processing time still with 152 code on WMR. Anything helps.

@coolkrystal Not sure what they were looking at or where the information was coming from. TurboTax cannot intercede with the IRS for you. This is between you and the IRS. Contact the IRS for information. Best of luck--hope it works out for you.
TurboTax never knows about offsets to your refund for delinquent child support, back taxes owed , etc. and cannot find out about that for you. The IRS does not provide any information to TurboTax after you file your tax return. You must be aware of child support you owe, or if you owe back taxes--it is unlikely to be a surprise to you that you owe such a debt. Only the IRS can tell you if they have an offset order for your refund.

thank you. if that is the case im wondering what the turbotax agent was looking at and why she would say such a thing. she seemed pretty disappointed to tell me the news.
