Why do you need to change it? You shouldn’t need to amend for that. Or did you itemize deductions. The Standard Deduction or Itemized Deductions are on 1040 line 12. It is automatically applied unless your itemized deductions are more.

My tax return is not including the recent $6000 senior deduction for individuals with a $75,000 taxable income (prorated if income is higher). Why?
