My amended tax return case is rejected. I understand the reason and agree with it. However, this leaves me two questions:
1) how can I restore my turbotax e-file status as 'approved'? At this moment, it says rejected.
2) Since IRS rejected it, will this affect my previous approved 2021 tax return result?

Your TT efile status never says "approved." I think you mean "accepted." However, when you do a 1040-X amended return, it replaces the original one.
Since the amended return was rejected, the IRS never got it, and thus it does not affect your original filing with them.

Then you have to manually take out the changes you made to put it back to the way it was originally filed.

Why are you giving up?
If your e-File is REJECTED,
that means you have to file the 1040-X on paper via US Mail.
In the Desktop program all you have to do is go to Forms mode and delete the 1040X. Then take the changes out.
How to delete an Amended return in the Desktop program,
Did you have trouble efiling it? I have seen posts from people saying they can't efile the amended return from the Desktop program. To amend in the Desktop program.....
First you need to update your return with the filing status so it knows it was filed and accepted. For the Desktop program you have to check the filing status inside the program.
Open your return and go up to menu item
File > Electronic Filing > Check Electronic Filing Status
Then save your return and close and reopen it.
And before you amend you should have saved a copy of your file so you have the original. Go up to File-Save As and give it another name.
