Hi,
Has anyone ever had a total of over $10,000 on their TurboCard? I have an amount on there right that now that is not $10,000 and have Unemployment deposits coming to that card that will top the balance at $11,000 and cannot stop them. My question is will they deposit what they can of it up to the $10,000 and return the rest/hold the rest or will they decline each transaction. (The UI payments are backpay and will deposit separately $500 and $600 increments.

First why are you allowing this much to accumulate on the debit card in the first place ??? This is not like a bank account and there are limitations of use ...

Getting to know the Turbo® Visa® Debit Card
From the general FAQs:
Load/Reload Limitations.
The maximum daily cash reload limit is $3,000, but maximum
in-store reload limits also apply, and you may not load cash to your Card at any time the
funds balance on your Card exceeds $3,000. We reserve the right to accept or reject any
request to reload your Card at our sole discretion. Only the primary cardholder may
reload the Card. The Card is not interest-bearing.
General Limits on the Use of Your Card.
The overall maximum amount of value that can
reside on the Card is $10,000. You are not authorized to conduct transactions that in the
aggregate exceed $5,000 per calendar day. For security reasons, we may limit the
amount, number, and type of transactions you can make on your Card and any funding or
reload of your Card. You may withdraw up to a maximum of $3,000 per calendar month
from ATMs and up to a maximum of $3,000 per calendar month from teller transactions,
unless otherwise indicated.
You should read through some of the questions we get here every day from people who lose those cards. WHY would you let so much money go on a card that could so easily be lost or stolen? Good grief----open a bank account.
