I really need someone to help me in finding where a mistake was made with my return.  When I filed you told me everything was ok, that I would get $1800.00  back as my refund and that it was accepted etc., then I got a notice from the IRS that I was not getting a refund because of a mistake on my return.  I need someone to explain how you got the $1800.00 figure and what the possible mistake could be.  Give me a number to call as I really would like to speak to someone.  Thank you.  Theodore & Susanne Wells, [email address removed]. If you are filing married filing joint, then if you were within the income limits, the first stimulus payment would have been up to $1,200 each. The second stimulus payment would have been up to $600 each. 

If these amounts were already received, the Recovery Rebate Credit would have been zero. If these details were not entered properly in TurboTax, the IRS will automatically recalculate the Recovery Rebate Credit. There is no need to amend.
