@Nicole mendoza How much is missing? The IRS will send you a letter saying what they changed. The 2 most common reasons this year is you entered the wrong amount on line 30 for the Recovery Rebate Credit (3rd Stimulus payment) or line 28 for the Child Tax Credit. Those lines are just if you didn't already get the full amount or qualify for more. The IRS knows what they already sent you.
A lot of people answered the questions wrong and tried to claim the credits again. Double check your bank statements to see what the IRS sent you during the year for the 3rd Stimulus payment and Advance Child Tax Credit. And check your IRS account (both accounts if married).

@Nicole mendoza - most all that post with this issue boils down to one of two issues: the receovery rebate credit or the child tax credit
1) what is on Line 28 for Form 1040?
2) what ison Line 30 for Form 1040?
3) what is the EXACT amount the IRS reduced the refund by?
the IRS will send a letter in a few weeks with a general description of what occured
My refund was 1,124 then I checked the IRS website to see where my refund was amount differs and says 717 which I assumed was an offset from a past tax. The today I received a deposit of 110 from TPG. Three highly differing numbers. Tried reading up and turbo tax is giving people bs answers about not claiming their stimulus of 1400. However, pretty much everyone including me claimed it. So this will be my last time using turbo tax. I recommend you all do the same.
Please see this Help Article for possible reasons as to why your refund was less than expected.
You will need to contact TPG for information regarding your refund. They are one who handles your refund if you elect to pay your fees with your refund. You can also check out this TPG Refund Tracker to check on your refund.
