If my refund on the IRS website says still processing does it mean I will be audited?

I did the whole wait to file because of the child credit and got I'd verified for both state and federal and then I got pulled for review so on too of the days for I'd verification I also got 45 days for a review. My employer had a little to do with it but the IRS says it didn't play a big role in the wait just the verification and the review of my kids that I have claimed the oldest 16 and the young one is 9! Nothing has changed since last year... Same empolyer , sane kids , same address, and sane process it seems! I learned the hard way not to rely on these taxes after last year! Just very frustrating!!!

WOW a review on your kids. Smh that’s terrible. There’s people who claimed other people’s kids, lied on taxes about income and everything with them went fine. It’s not fair. Tomorrow i will be calling a tax advocate. To get more information, so if the IRS needs certain things i can fax it to them as soon as possible!

But I look at it like at least I will get brand new TVs and some other things on my list for cheap because everyone is going to be selling them to get money back for bills... I got killer deals last year lol!!! 55' smart TV for 300!!!! Only 3 months old! Gotta have a bright side to the situation... Lol!!!

I don't understand why because of all these people they have flagged has just made it harder on them.... They are the reason they are getting so many calls because they decided to hold everyones money.  What did the expect?

Mines still the same too. I'm hoping for an update Saturday but the rep told me yesterday that I'm under additional review starting March 12.

Yes @kell6262 I was under initial review on Feb 15 and called yesterday and they told me they need to do an additional review and if I don't hear from them by April 29 go call back. I haven't received a letter or anything. I don't understand the hold up.

OMG!! I'm sorry! I wounder if they just say that...I have heard and seen so many different answers for one person...I hope the release them sooner that that! Especially if you haven't received a letter! Keep me updated as I will surely do as well... Best of luck to you!

I tried connecting an advocate, won’t give me no other information. Just that my stupid review starts March 12 and there’s no information needed. There obviously is information needed otherwise i wouldn’t have been chosen for a STUPID review! Keep trying to lie saying this shit is random how tf is this random when there’s a bunch of people going through this. They know exactly what they are doing!

In my letter, it never said a date as to when mine was pulled but the date the letter was written or sent was the Feb 26th which is crap since I filed a month before that.

I called after my 21 days were up, said i was under review, from February 6th when they received my return, then i called again (I call everyday) lol. Then they told that i had a “processing date of 3/12” i thought that meant i was going to receive my refund then again was told NO REVIEW DOESNT EVEN START UNTIL MARCH 12th!

2 people filed the same day i did . they both got it in like a week . and yet I am going on 6 weeks .still the same thing processing
