How can I tell if my taxes have been filed?

Also why does it show my state return and not my federal?

When I check efile is says no result but when I click the top left of the turbo tax screen it shows borh of my returns. I’m so confused.

If the efile status says no result then you did not efile it.  And if you have not mailed it then you haven’t filed.  

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  what does it say?

Sorry but Ready to Mail means you have to print out your return and mail it to the IRS yourself. So it has not been filed yet.  You can try to change from Mail to Efile https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/5561257
