I bought Turbotax 2016 last year and did my taxes. Can I use the same one to do my taxes again this year?

No.  There is new software each year, written to comply with the tax laws in effect for the specific tax year.  You need 2017 software to prepare a 2017 tax return.

No. The software is updated yearly due to new tax laws every year; so you have to buy the current version each year in order to file a new return for current tax year. Prior year software will not work for preparing a current tax year return. See below for more details.
