Wait until it has been fully processed. Sometimes the IRS catches and corrects mistakes you made. Amending too soon can cause confusion and long delays.

Tks. The original return has been processed and I have received a refund. I am unable to e-file an amended return because my wife died in 2024 and the amended return is rejected due to using the SS# of a dead person. Fault in the software, not TurboTax but IRS!
