Need to add a schedule C to already filed taxes

My wife has a side photography business in addition to regular employment. I didn't realize I needed to file her business expenses with the same tax return as our personal income and expenses. I already filed our taxes and they were excepted. Can I go back and amend them and add a Schedule C?

Yes you can and will have to amend the 2016 tax return that was filed to include the Schedule C.

I tried doing that but there was no Schedule C in the online version.

Schedule C is available in the Self-Employed online edition.  If you are not using the Self-Employed edition then you will need to upgrade.
