My transmitted date says 1/29/18 and was accepted 1/23/18? how is it possible to get accepted before i transmitted?

The official day that the IRS started accepting tax returns for processing was January 29, 2018. Some tax returns however were processed and accepted before that date by the IRS. This is the reason for the date discrepancy.
