My taxes say received by turbo tax but unknown for federal and MI. Does that mean TurboTax hasn’t sent them?

It means that Turbo Tax sent them, but the IRS and your state have not processed or accepted them yet. It can take 48-72 hours for the IRS and your state to receive, accept and update the status to accepted from when you filed them.

I filed mine then 20 minutes later my exes. His shows received by TurboTax at 1:46 received by the irs at 1:47 accepted at 2:31. Mine shows received by TurboTax at 1:27 received by irs unknown.

The IRS pulls once every 24 hours and has a set amount they pull. You might not have made the cut off for that time period and your ex did.

It’s basically showing that they haven’t been transmitted to the irs. There’s no pull. I file through TurboTax every year for 5 people. It always shows transmitted to the irs right after being transmitted to TurboTax.

So no response? That’s truly not helpful at all smh. There’s clearly and issue on turbo taxes end and it needs to be fixed ASAP.

Just an FYI to anyone else that has this problem. It was a problem on turbo taxes end. Turbotaxwill was completely wrong and full of crap. It took multiple fb messages followed by 2 phone calls and an hour and 20 minutes on the phone but turbo tax did eventually figure out the issue and transmitted my returns on February 6th.

Your tax returns will remain Pending until the IRS and your state start receiving tax returns.  Most states will not start receiving tax returns until on or after the IRS officially opens to receive federal tax returns.

The Refund status is Unknown because the IRS has not received your tax return.

Your tax returns will remain Pending until the IRS start receiving tax returns.

I filed January 11th and it still says taxes filed, pending, and unknown. I've used turbo tax for years and it's the first time I've encountered this
