Who is with me on spreading the word to never use TT again. People wanna do cancel culture but never cancel thing thatblegitimately should be canceled. TurboTax needs to be canceled for screwing Americans during a pandemic
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You received an email that we cannot see that tells you why your tax return was rejected.
Some rejected returns can be fixed and re-filed. Some have “un-fixable” reasons for the rejection and have to be mailed instead. What is the rejection code or rejection message?
If it was rejected for AGI—-be aware that many 2019 returns took so long for the IRS to process that your 2019 AGI might not be in the IRS system. Try using zero instead.
If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year. The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.
Or—-if you filed as a “non-filer” just to get the stimulus check on a 2019 return, try using $1 as the AGI.

If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.
@xmasbaby0 I got to say that is not acceptable. Turbo tax screwed up and ppl may have to paper file because of their crap. Why doesn’t turbo tax admit they screwed up. I guarantee once I get freed of turbo tax I’ll file again through the IRS using e-file and I’ll have no troubles. It’s a disgrace that turbo tax has screwed up ppl’s money when ppl are out of work and were depending on this return to come as it has the past 5 years.
I can’t believe you have the nerve to say some rejections aren’t fixable! Sure some are but you know da** well this is not what everyone is dealing with
You have not provided any details at all--- so no one in the user forum knows what you think TT messed up or why your tax return was rejected. We do not have access to your return or your account here so we do not know what went wrong. If you would provide some information about that we could be more helpful.
