Need to put it on what/where??   We can't see what screen you are working on.    What form are you trying to enter?    For example, is it a W-2 and are you referring to Box 15, where there is a drop-down list of states?

If so, Texas has no state income tax and won't be in that menu.    States with no income tax are not listed in that menu.   If that's your situation, and if there's no state withholding in Box 17, just leave Box 15-17 of your W-2 blank.

If that guess is not what you are referring to, please explain in more detail, since "need to put it" is not enough info.
