@Wallesh , "it seems like my refund is being audited" What is making you think you are being audited? Did the IRS send you a letter that says you are being audited, or are you just jumping to that conclusion based on the late refund after the 2024 refund being sent back by your bank? If the IRS is actually auditing you -- they tell you. You would receive a letter from the IRS.
If the IRS has not sent you a letter telling you that your return is under review or being audited, then you do not need to panic that you are being audited. You are being inconvenienced by a mistake that was made when you entered incorrect banking information. You have not given us a time frame----we do not know when the IRS issued your refund or how long ago your bank sent the refund back to the IRS. Was it days, weeks, or months ago?
Please re-read the reply above that tells you how to contact the third party bank if, in fact, you chose to pay your TurboTax fees by having those fees deducted from your refund. The snag is most likely with the third party bank.
If you have received a letter from the IRS----and have not mentioned it here --then see below:
I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE IRS/STATE
TurboTax does not receive any information from the IRS or your state after your return was filed, so no one at TurboTax knows about a letter you received from the IRS or the state.
