My IRS still hasn't been approved and I did not have a tax credit. I usually get federal back before state but not this time. Anyone else having this issue? I filed 1/30.

It can range from a span of just a few days up to about 3 weeks to see a move to approved status. It will vary depending on how huge of a backlog they are working on when processing returns. Patience is virtue when it comes to processing of government returns. And it's not uncommon to get state refund first. They use separate refunding schedules and procedures, so that happens a lot.

And since everyone's tax situation will vary, when everyone gets approved will also vary. And you can find more details on that here Why do some refunds take longer than others?

Just keep an eye out on the IRS's website for updates. If you don't see a change after 3 weeks, that is when you need to contact the IRS.

You can use the IRS Where's My Refund site for the latest status on your federal tax refund.

And you can use your State Department of Revenue's website to check status of state tax refund. Choose your state here How do I track my state refund? and it will give you steps to track the status.
