The IRS will most likely send you a check to your mailing address that you put on your return. If they need any information before they can do that, they will most likely contact you by snail mail. They almost NEVER initiate contact via email or phone.
You can check the status of your return.
You can check now, but you might have to give the IRS a day or so from the time you submitted it Just go to
their Website at irs.gov and click on the link on the right side for
checking the status of your refund. You can also and call them using the
number on their Website or any of their publications. At their main Web
page, click on Help Resources at the top, and scroll down to "Contact
Us".
