Say mailing refund when was supposed to be direct deposits

I woke up to my money as pending deposit after TD begged me basically to deposit with them and even offering 50 bucks for checks over 5k deposited in their bank. I called and got the..".oh we make it available to trade but cash takes 4 days" I said "Ok let me speak to your manager"....Some guy with a crackly voice came on and I said "I need your manager" Uhhhh sir I can help you and I said "Trust me....I am doing you a favor asking for your manager...as I am a pissed off hornet ready to sting"  Some lady gets on as the Banking something something manager and I immediately asked if she had ability to lift a hold. I quoted the lines from the link below and she went away for 5 mins and came back "Sir, I need to call you back in 45 mins as the back operations center opens at 8 central time and although I can approve this, they have to push the buttons ". i am waiting for call back at 9 est. Do NOT LET THEM PULL THIS CRAPOLA on you as they have access to the interest from it immediately!!!! I worked for Harland check company for years and dealt with big banks for a long time. I know that there is always someone with the power to override an internal policy of the bank. Point being....do not take no for an answer as the person answering front line is typically a very new employee that is given a script (Sound familiar....IRS ha ha) and they weed out the calls without even knowing it. My wife would just say "ok...i will wait" as she is non confrontational.

I know my Wells has the mobile app and I can deposit there...but I think there is a amt limit

Yes. We scan smaller checks with our apps, and everything else is DD. I would still like an answer for why this happened. DD is cheaper and more secure.

I am from Indiana.  I chose DD and mine says it was mailed out on Friday! Beyond frustrated!! Still no sign of my check!

Has anyone received their check and was monitoring the USPS informed site, yet the check came without being scanned? Just wondering.  This is a cluster fuck. I e always gotten dd with amounts over 20k and with or without adjustments. What the hell happened this year? And how long did it take once wmr said sent? Mine was sent yesterday March 4th.

I just started ID with my check mailing Friday. I assumed if the check was coming today it would have scanned. So it’s possible that not everything scans? I am nervous about the check being put on my porch, so I wanted ID to be a way to know if I should be home when the mail runs or not. If it isn’t trustworthy...guess I am stuck having someone home each day until it arrives. Ugh.

good morning,
We're military and use a bank based out of Texas. so online access only & a mobile app. we have a daily deposit limit of 10K. had to call our bank to adjust that for the deposit. Our funds are showing there is a hold on half of the amount, we kind of expected that, and it will release the rest in 4 days.
 should you be expecting a large check, id call ahead to your bank and see what should/ could be done in advanced if you need the full funds immediately.
As for usps, we've had pictures of even junk mail. i'm brand new to USPS ID, so idk if they'd skip scanning somethings. with delivery timing, i'd guess the closer you are to a major city or mailing hub... maybe the better the chances. we live an hr north of Syracuse.
 I'd still like to know why a DD didn't happen, my bank was confused as well, as we've banked with them for 12+ years & always did DD. I'm sure we'll find out just in time for next tax season.
