I usually file with turbo tax. Unfortunately this year I went with a different company online of course guided through the process. I just realized when going back through the refund they submitted, they submitted for me to receive the work opportunity tax credit which I do not qualify for because I am not an employer. I'm not sure how I didn't realize this the way it prompted me was like entering W2 information off of my yearly income. Now I'm scared they're going to think that I'm trying to commit fraud because I don't know how to reverse it or try to retract that tax return. I'm going to attempt to file on TurboTax I don't know if I can do that so that I can file maybe in amended. But do I have to wait for them to deny that return in order to file an amended return? I'm so confused on how this happend because I followed their prompts. I don't want to be accused of fraud. Every time I email that tax company they send me a generic response which helps none.

If you e-filed a tax return and the IRS accepted it for processing, you cannot file another tax return. It will be rejected. You will have to wait and see what the IRS does with the return you filed. After it has been fully processed you can amend it and fix your mistake(s). It would be better to use the software you used for the original return when you amend.
But ----do not do anything until you see what the IRS does with the return. You can track it on the IRS refund site:
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
