So did anyone that's under review received a letter or their refund yet? I'm curious cause I'm under review and been since 2/14/18 I call everyday and get the same info.

I filed back on1/29 approved with original DDD for 2/22. My bank denied it due to my name not being in the account. Received a letter back in March to verify identity over the phone they old could be 10 weeks. 10 weeks came so we called and they said another 60 days. So we called again was told we were just waiting on our funds to be released. So we asked to get a TA and they literally gave us bs about getting one. Stating we had to wait a certain amount of time blah blah blah. Any how we called back and spoke to a different person that pretty much said the same bs. But put in a referral to release our money and a referral for a TA. Following week we updated (this Wednesday 7/25) with a DDD of 7/31. It's coming guys keep calling and bugging them. You can change your current withholding so that you do not have to go through this again next year.

I filed on April 15th. I lost bars 3 weeks later. Then received a letter for identity verification. I had to wait 3 weeks to get an appt at my local office because I was "unverifiable"over the phone. I was told it would take up to 9 weeks after verification to receive my refund. Last week I got a letter stating that my refund was being held for review and I should hear back by Sept 3rd. The letter stated that I didn't need to do anything and they would contact me if needed. Are they just going to deny my refund? I almost would rather them just tell me I'm not getting my money, rather than giving me a supposed deadline only to ignore it and tell me it will me an additional month or more. I'm sure on Sept 3rd I'll receive notice that it will be another 60 days. I don't know what to do at this point. I didn't have any crazy write offs or any deductions that would cause this much hassel.

i haven't called yet cause i hate phones and im not a people person im still holding on to see if they resent a letter but if i am force to call whats the number? is it the one from the notice cause that one states that its only for giving more information or something and what do i need to have in hand so i can have it ready. i called today on 8/6 and nothing i was waiting for almost an hour i hung up i got other things to do and work why these people make callers wait so long?  i use the number i got in my notice is that the right number to call???

So i was assigned a tax advocate and she told me to send in proof of income from my previous employer. I faxed it over to her on 7/16 ever since then I've been calling her to get an update but i don'e get an answer, i leave her voicemails and no call back. Costumer Service can't give me an update because they don't have access to see what a tax advocate can. All they can tell me is that they did verify my income, but there is still a hold on my refund. They try to transfer me to the tax advocate help line which is a 2-4 hour wait. They have given me her supervisors number to reach out but no answer there. Does anyone else have this problem with their tax advocate? Not answering the phone or providing updates?

 I filed in January and still haven't received my refund. I've done the verification, had a referral sent, and mailed my w-2. I was laid off my job and called to get a tax advocate on 8/8 because now I'm facing a hardship. The advocate called me on 8/13 and said my income has been verified and I should expect my refund by 8/29 no later than 9/5... I would urge anyone to get an advocate.

i also file in January but got audit in march 26 i've been waiting this whole time and when i called the guy told me they just started doing feb audits or whatever and i'm here like wow didn't give a date or anything to when i'll hear anything

After being referred to a tax advocate and faxing her my W2s several times and contacting my local congressman I am finally getting my refund next week!!!!!!! 8 months later!! My tax advocate lady was awesome and always retuned my phone calls the next day!!  The IRS does pay interest..a while $96.00 for 8 months haha!! I’m so happy this is over! Hang in there !

Actually, the IRS only pays interest from April 17. But glad you're finally getting your funds.

Oh my my my! So I was supposed to get my return Feb 22 but due to an error in my account number my funds were sent back and was supposed to be getting issued a check sent to my house. After months of calls. I finally got a tax advocate. Then two more. So I had to amend my return and send in some forms. Wait wait wait. Then again finally I'm in the amended wmr system. And I got my first bar saying it was received in June. Then my TA calls and says there may be a chance of me getting audited!! I'm like oh no!! He then scheduled a time to contact me back which was a few days ago. I don't hear from him. So, I checked my bar status on wmr and Bam! Im in my second bar which is "adjusted" here's my question..... If I was to be audited, would it have changed to adjusted? I haven't received any letter of the "adjustment" yet. Should I be worried? Or since it says adjusted chill and my check is in the mail?
