Is my new medicare card number also my new social security number?
NO. If you have received your new Medicare number, it is no longer the same as an SSN. The number on the new Medicare cards is only for Medicare purposes. Only the Medicare numbers were changed. Your SSN should still be the same as always, unless you formally changed it for some other reason, which would be rare.
