IRS Did not send $1400 stimulus as part of refund submitted with Turbotax

My daughter received a letter from the government that she was still eligible to receive the 3rd stimulus of $1400.  She is single and lives out on her own at a minimum wage job.  I helped her do her taxes on my computer using the Turbotax Home & Business version I purchased from Costco.  Her taxes were very straight forward and Turbotax entered all the info about the stimulus money.  When she filed online Turbotax said she would receive $1906 from the IRS but instead her electronic check was only $506 so minus the $1400 stimulus money she was expecting.  Her tax return was accepted by the IRS but they ignored sending the stimulus portion included with the return.  What happened and how do we fix that?

Did she get IRS letter 6475?  That is telling you how much they sent you.  Was she your dependent for 2020.

Double check your bank statements and Check your IRS account (both accounts if married)

If the IRS thinks they sent it to you but you didn't get it request a trace for a missing third Stimulus payment

If her refund is short $1,400 then that is because she said she did not receive the 3rd stimulus payment and the IRS has records that show she was sent the 3rd stimulus payment so they removed the $1,400 Recovery Rebate Credit that was entered on Form 1040 Line 30.

Go to this IRS website for her tax account to see if the 3rd stimulus payment is entered - https://www.irs.gov/payments/your-online-account

If she checked her bank account in the March - May 2021 timeframe and there is not a $1,400 EIP3 payment from the IRS then go to this IRS website for how to start a trace on the payment - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/questions-and-answers-about-the-third-economic-impact-payment-topic-j-p...
