Do you really mean that your e-file was rejected? If it was rejected, you can try to fix it and re-file. Or you can file it by mail if the rejection is for a reason that is not "fixable"--like a duplicate SSN. Your TurboTax fee when you use online is the same whether you e-file or file by mail. They do not give you a refund if you have to file by mail. The fee is for using the software. There was no fee to e-file.
If you fix the return and re-file, you are not charged again.
If it was rejected:
You received an email that we cannot see that tells you why your tax return was rejected.
Some rejected returns can be fixed and re-filed. Some have “un-fixable” reasons for the rejection and have to be mailed instead.
What is the rejection code or rejection message?
If it was rejected for AGI—-your 2022 AGI might not be in the IRS system if you filed late. Try using zero instead.
If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year. The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.

If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.
