My refund was short $2800 than what the IRS gave me. I don't have any offsets that I owe them, or anyone else. How can we fix this?

If your refund is short $2,800 then the IRS has records that show you were sent the 3rd stimulus payment so they removed the $2,800 Recovery Rebate Credit.
If you checked your bank account in the March - May 2021 timeframe and there is not a $2,800 EIP3 payment from the IRS then go to this IRS website for how to start a trace on the payment - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/questions-and-answers-about-the-third-economic-impact-payment-topic-j-p...

Thanks! Looking into that now.
Turbo Tax Customer Support:
I contacted the IRS and they said that my refund was reduced to an incorrect social security number? I double checked and all of my information is correct. This error has reduced my refund by $1360 and I need to resolve this some how.
Please let me know what the best option is.
Thanks,
Damon
