I answered "yes" to having an additional 1098 and now I don't know how to answer next question "How much did I owe on Jan. 1, 2019" I have 2 mortgages on my home

is the question how much adding the two together or just the one ive given info on so far?

If you have 2 mortgages, 2 Form 1098's then they would be entered independently. So the question: "how much you owe..?" refers specifically to either the first or the the second mortgage. TurboTax will sum the totals if required for the tax return. The 1098's should be treated as discreet entries.
