Just to be clear. If your taxes are Accepted it is a good thing.
It means that their were no technical errors like Social Security Numbers that were wrong.
It also means that TurboTax does not have any control of your return.
If you are being told that it's still in process, the IRS has not finished checking it out.
The IRS has stated that the typical time to process a tax return is 21 days, but there may be delays for many reasons.
TurboTax can only project the time to get your refund. The IRS has the real control.
You can check the status of your tax return. You will need:

Be sure that your return status is Accepted

Is there a status called "ACCEPTED"?
My WMR says "RECEIVED" which occured March 4 2023 and also it says "Your tax return is still being processed".
The possible stages shown on my Refund Status are "Return Received", "Refund Approved" and "Refund Sent"

Received and Accepted mean exactly the same thing.
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

Yes, "Accepted", "Rejected" and Pending" are official statuses for Electronic Return Originators (EROs), but the IRS doesn't use them on Where's my refund?
EROs are the services and people who file your tax returns electronically. TurboTax is an ERO.
Once your return is Accepted at the ERO level, the IRS uses the following statuses to let you know when you will get your refund:
Ok that makes sense.
Mine is frustrating because its been 6 weeks since I efiled and nothing has changed. My Tax Transcript for 2023 shows N/A and the return has not been processed. Its in Tax Hell Purgatory 👹
Its like it's stuck in a queue. I called the IRS and all they could tell me was "there is an unspecified error" and to wait.
