So did anyone that's under review received a letter or their refund yet? I'm curious cause I'm under review and been since 2/14/18 I call everyday and get the same info.

I have been under review since Feb. 26th. I have found that if the IRS has accepted your return, it owes you interest after the tax deadline. Has anyone that has received a reveiwed return received interest?

If IRS pays you interest, then interest on the refund will start on the return due date, late filed return received date, or date the payment was made, whichever is the latest.

Thanks everyone!! I'm happy to see returns finally going through. I'm still waiting boooo!!! I did call last Thursday and they said interest starts from the time your 60 days was up on the review. I think it's like 3% or something not sure exactly.

Yes, I understand that the IRS "may" pay interest, but I was wondering if anyone is actually receiving it with their reveiwed refunds. Because if that is the case, I'm entitled to $40 a day, which would make all this waiting a bit bearable!!

@robyn_west85  i thought it would be helpful to let others know there is a light at the end of the tunnel after the loong wait. That is why i am still on here. Im just not selfish although i have a date i still pray everyone gets relief as well ..god bless!

@tedbrc $40 a day? That sounds like a lot. How much is your refund? Even a $10,000 refund at 5% interest would only be $1.37 a day,.

The rate I have found is 4 percent and at $10,000 is $40. 10 percent would be $100. Yes, my refund is over $10,000.

A refund of that size is highly unusual..... and 10 percent of $10,000 is $1,000, not $100.

But interest rates assume an entire year....365 days.  APR = Annual Percentage Rate
10,000 x  4%  = $400, not $40.  Divide that by 365 to get the daily rate...$1.10 per day
If you got $40 per day interest, that would equal $14,600 in just interest for a year, which makes no sense.
