If i chose to only receive $600 of my refund (stimulus owed to me) and had the rest deferred 2 nxt yr will i get it or will that 600 be taken because I owe student loans?

So my taxes are being garnished so I chose to defer most of my payment ( over  $1000) to next year so I can get my student loan stuff worked out. I chose to only have 600 direct deposited because I am owed the second stimulus. Will I get the 600 or will that 600 be garnished?

They will probably keep the 600 AND any of the rest to payoff the back taxes.  So don't be surprised if it doesn't get deferred to next year.  Let us know.  Then next year you might need to delete or reduce the amount that transfers over as applied.
