Thank you for such a fast response. Rhetorical question (requires no answer): I just love how I owe money to the IRS, and Turbo Tax expects me to pay more....just annoying. (OK, im done whining now). Thanks again for your fast response, I appreciate it. This is nerve wracking, I apologize.
You used TurboTax's software to prepare a tax return instead of sitting down with a calculator, a sharp pencil with a good eraser, paper tax forms and a 114 page IRS instruction book. The fee for using the software is not based on whether you owe or get a refund.
2023 tax due must be paid by April 15, 2024
If you have federal tax due you can pay by mailing your payment with the 1040V voucher, (which has the address printed on it, having the payment taken out of a designated bank account, or you can pay directly on the IRS website.

You can still efile. Just pick you will mail a check for the tax due then you can pay whenever you want.
Turbo Tax will make you pay the fees before you print and mail.
How to mail a return from the Online version
Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
