I’m having the same issue I filed 1/30
accepted the same day
and had a still being processed message until I called today (2/26) i was told I have to verify my identity and that I could go to a irs walk in center FALSE! it’s by appointment only so don’t waste your time and to even make the appointment you need the letter which I was told was sent out 2/20 it’s now 2/27 and nothing yet this is so frustrating
I was accepted 1/21
ID verified 2/10
transcripts are 20200905 03/16 but it still shows being processed in WMR so annoyed

Called and they said up to 9 weeks after you ID verify, if I don’t have my refund by 04/13 I was told to call back.:(
Same problem. Filed electronically 1/21/20. Accepted same day. Expected refund 2/11. Received ID verification letter 3/5/20 and verified online same day. I now see that my refund will be due on 3/26/20, but letter also says it can be up to 9 weeks. This would take it out to about 5/9/20. Very frustrated with the back and forth. Any ideas that won't involve calling and making it take even longer?
I filed the last week of January. Recieved a letter two weeks later to verify identity. I could not verify over the phone Bc I got one of the questions wrong (I’m an idiot) so I had to verify in person which I did on March 5th. It took that long to get into an office. They had absolutely no appointments before that. I sat in a room and waited to be called back to punch in my Ss# and show my drivers license and was told 9 weeks. That was March 5th. It’s now April 8th and I’ve heard nothing. I’m concerned that not only are my tax refunds held up, but that my COVID19 stimulus payment will be held up now as well!!!
@Larry you verified the same day as me. Did you get your refund? I have not gotten mine and nothing has changed online.
I pay some estimated taxes, so I just have any refund due, posted to the next year. So I don't get a "refund."
Asnow71185 If the IRS told you 9 weeks, they still have a little longer, but since you have confirmed your Identity, you will still get the stimulus check. Although, I can't tell you if it will be delayed.
i verified my idenity over 6 months ago and its still being processed. can anyone please tell me how i can get my refund
Only the IRS controls when and if a tax refund is Approved and Sent.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don’t enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Then press 4 for personal or individual tax questions.
It should then transfer you to an agent.
