I received the message Take Action: Your refund is delayed Reference code 1541. Never seen that in the history of filing my taxes ! Anybody else seen this?

I called the irs last Wednesday and they told me just to wait everything looked fine that’s all and to expect a refund by the 27th.today I called back and they told me that I was issued a letter dated March 11th and it could take 45 days from then to complete a review but could see a refund any day from today to April if everything was ok .   Stupid !

These answers is how we should all know IRS bullshitting how you gonna tell somebody you got a letter coming but you could get a refund before the letter comes at anytime? They sound like that one friend that always owes money.. “i get paid on Friday but actually they might hold my check because of technically but I might have your money on Friday or maybe a month from now”

@gmarino1988 you have a letter dated March 11?  So they have a letter for you but won’t send it until March 11?

Well I did not file with TurboTax an I'm getting the same thing we just got to have faith an trust God irs can't over power God I'm walking by faith man say anything there's a God There's away he's an on time God I'm claiming mines soon I'm speaking it because I have trust an faith......

@gmarino1988 I called this morning and they told me the exact thing that I have a letter coming to me and I should receive it by March 11 and once I do what the letter is asking for that I’ll receive my tax return but it will take 2 weeks so that means we won’t get ours till the last week of March it’s so frustrating

@irocha88 yeah well they told me the letter just states that I’m under review and that it will just say that if they need anything they will send another . Hopefully we get our refunds soon and not till May like some people have in the past .

@toccorap29 do you know how much more problems that will cause if they told use they were behind they can't out right just say that it has to be a reason behind it so they are using these codes. Im on  Facebook and it's a group called refund 2019 and it's thousands of people that filed with other services that's on there say they have the same issue

@jalisabyrd That’s crazy so basically they are just saying whatever to people. I don’t think there is anything wrong with being behind specially after being shut down. But why worry people thinking there’s something wrong with there taxes.

I think they are just backlogged from the shutdown.  Every time I call I get a different answer.  How can they tell you that you are getting a letter 2 weeks from now about a "delay" instead sending your refund 2 weeks from now.

Honestly guys, I think we're all panicking. I've read so much on the code 1541 I should have my bachelor's degree LOL I am giving it until Saturday(2nd major update). If nothing Shake by then THEN I'm going to panic. Because like everybody else I got things to take care of too. I believe that we all should see our money by Saturday or at least get a date. Because with so many people having this problem, I believe that they are going to piss off the wrong person. This all is just a recipe for danger if they don't figure this out. And fast!
