I was charged a difference I never got paid

I filed my 2023 taxes and accidentally put '$5,984' instead of '$3,984' in field 12. I filed an amended tax return and was charged $2000 directly out of my account but I was never given my tax refund that would have been $2739. I need to resolve this as fast as I can so I can pay rent.

No, there's nothing you can do to rush the IRS, but you can check on the status of your original refund. You can track your refund using the Where's my refund? tool.

That has been stuck at received but not approved for more than a month now with no additional information.
