I had filed my 2020 taxes over a year ago through turbo tax. My initial refunds came in and I had no issues. However, the DES in my state of Arizona, had completely under reported my earnings with the 2020 pandemic unemployment assistance program. Turns out I made an extra $3,000 which I then had to file an amended return to claim all of these earnings. I filed this return back in early June of 2021. I expected the wait to be much longer as that is what the IRS had told me. Fast forward approximately 21 weeks later in mid-October, I used the "where's my amended return" tool with the IRS and my return still hasn't been processed. I gave the IRS a call and I was told they would expedite the request and get it right out. As the next two months went by I still haven't seen the check because I was told they would be taking care of it as soon as they possibly could. It is now mid-March and I still haven't received anything. I have tried giving the IRS multiple calls the last 3 months to no avail. They have a large volume and my calls keep getting let go, with no other resource to reach out to them. I am also having difficulties with my FAFSA in regards to this amended return. I thought I had an electronic signature provided by me while I was filing, now my University sent it back saying it isn't signed. Now my FAFSA process is being delayed because I thought Turbo Tax would be assisting me with this overly complicated filing process, and the funds for my college education, are being delayed severely. I would like to know what needs to be done because this has been a thorn at my side for the past year, and I don't know who to call or message and what to do. I'm still out of my refund and I don't know if that has anything to with my now discovered unsigned amended return Turbo Tax was suppose to help me double check and file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could submit 1040-X for FAFSA but as you are discovering it might not work out.
you should be submitting the revised 1040 that produced that 1040-X.
Print that , and sign it with either today's date or the date you filed it.
Thank you for replying. Where do I find that form? On the Turbo tax homepage? Or am I suppose to request it?
If you filed an amended return, you can go back into TurboTax and print that copy. It will include Form 1040-X (the amended form) that Tax Champ @fanfare is talking about.
Send your whole packet (including the revised Form 1040 that follows the Form 1040-X and all the forms that follow.

The IRS is behind processing tax returns sent by mail. If you mailed your return, it's possible it still hasn't been processed yet. Or it may have gotten lost.
You can submit a duplicate Form 1040-X and send it by certified mail with proof of delivery. That way you'll know the IRS received it and you can start a new clock from that point.
Do not include your old 1040 nor your revised 1040 because the Form 1040-X reflects any changes there and becomes your new tax return.
