Did you finish and file? The marketing dept just sends out emails to everyone. They don’t know if you already filed. You may have another account.
That's common to end up with multiple accounts. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address. You can use the same email address for 5 accounts. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used
Thanks for your reply.
I did not file the tax return that I started. For context, I live and work in Canada, and only recently found out I still need to file US taxes as a citizen. I started the return, but it was low on my priority list so I never finished it. Once I got the email reminder, I tried to finish it, but the return that I started no longer appears. I clicked the Account Recovery link you sent, but all it does is redirect to my "Tax Home" page. In any case, I'm fairly confident I only have the one US account.
I've tried to call TurboTax or contact them through the direct messenger service, but it will not let me speak with a costumer service representative since I have not purchased their services. However, the email says that I have up until the 31st to finish filing, so they know that I started a return.
That was a mass marketing email. Marketing does not know if you began working on a return. But, if you did in fact start a return, then you have to use exactly the account and user ID to find it.
Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Thanks for your reply. These links have confirmed that I just have the one TurboTax account. I've had this account since I was last living in the US almost a decade ago, but even after searching through my email, I can confirm I have never gotten an email to this effect -- which leads me to believe it's linked to the fact that I started the return earlier. I know I started a return a few months ago, and I don't understand why suddenly it has disappeared...
