I received a direct deposit from the IRS labeled: IRS TREAS TAX REF but its only for $250. On TurboTax it said my return should be about $500. Whats going on?

If the IRS reduced your refund, they will send you a letter explaining why. The letter usually comes a week or two after you get the refund. For more information, see the FAQ at the following link.
